Party dresses and how to style them

Weither you go to a Christmas party at a friend’s house, or to a club to dance the night away, you need an awesome dress . But since you are reading this particular blog, you are probably looking for a more edgy styling, since  i guess you won’t be wearing a shinny dress with stiletto heels.

But i am a sucker for sequins during the holidays, so i am starting with the dazzling ones and ways to style them :

Toughen it up with a leather jacket, and leather shoes. Preferably platform boots or block heels like the JC lita. Do not add statement necklaces, they will be lost in the sequin glamor. If you wish to add jewelry, add a set of band rings, or a cuff.  Let the statement dress, do its work alone. If you want to toughen it more, add a beanie.

Limit the softness by addind spikes, either they’re on jewelry, either they’re on the jacket. Wear with thigh highs and any type of heel/wedge/platform.

You can never go wrong with leather! Plus you can wear a dress like these,  in numerous occasions. Wear it to a party, under a fur coat, with loads of jewelry, platforms and a smokey make up, wear it with Docs or spiked boots and a cardi for drinks, wear it underneath a cozy sweater and wedge trainers or flats for an everyday outfit.

Spiked dress by New Look

If i was to wear spikes, this would be the one. Spikes all over, or no spikes at all. Don’t overdo it though, by wearing spikes all over the whole outfit. On one item they’re enough.

These would be my choices! What are yours? What are you wearing on NYE, and Christmas parties?
